Ive been here for a month!

So... I just wanted to let everyone at home know that I miss you very much.. Danny, Daniel, and Lauren, I'm proud of you and I'm excited about what the Lord is doing in your life. The past three weeks I had lectures on Worship, The Character of God, and the Father Heart of God. I've learned so much about these topics. Worship is a lifestyle and it is your relationship with God. The Father Heart of God is unbelievable. Its hard to realize how much God loves you. I learned that you don't have to earn God's love. Its done, he loves you. Now you have to love others through a Godly perspective. You can love someone and not like them. You ultimately have to believe and have faith. Once you have that faith you need to believe that God can speak to you through visions, dreams, and through his auditory voice. If he does speak to you then you must obey. Forgiveness was a huge topic too. First, you have to forgive yourself and accept the person that God made. Realizing that you are nothing, and you are no better than anyone else. There are a lot of things that I learned but these are the main things that I can think of. If you have questions then just email me: kurtz12@gmail.com : )

There are two outreaches: One team is going to Dumaguete and one team is going to Samar, Calbayog

I'm going to Samar Calbayog on November 2nd to the 8th
I'm going with a group 7, traveling by boat. It should be an interesting 12 hour trip : )

Here is a letter that Ate Tin-Tin created for everyone to view:

SAMAR TEAM NEWSLETTER
Samar is an island in the Visayas, which is in the central Philippines. It is the country’s third largest island. Samar is frequently visited by typhoons since it’s near the Pacific ocean. The island is predominantly of the Roman Catholic faith.
The “waray” speaking people has been stereotyped as fierce and provoking. The “waray-waray”, (a tribal group) of which they are called is located in the economically deprived area of the Philippines. They are mainly fishermen and subsistence farmers.
Our team of seven (7) is going on an outreach to Calbayog on November 2-8. We will be supporting the work of YWAM- Calbayog. The team will be doing children’s ministry, strengthening churches (preaching, bible study and etc.), open air evangelism and the work in Buhang. “Buhang” is a village 30 minutes away by tricycle from Calbayog.
The team is seeing that there are new waves of opportunities that will be springing out from this work. Our team are mainly young people, who are burning with passion to reach out their dying generation for Jesus. The works in Calbayog is mostly ministry to the young generation and we are just excited of what God will reveal and do through us during this time of outreach.
Matt 24:14
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (NIV)
PRAYER POINTS:
~protection and good weather condition as we will be traveling by boat to Samar.
~wisdom, discernment and unity in the team who will be ministering.
~good health and favor upon this time of ministry work.
~open doors of opportunity and networks in Calbayog and Buhang.
~prayer partners and financial supporters, as we will be raising Php2,000($45/person) with a total of Php14,000($318).
~for God’s power to be revealed into hearts of whom we will be ministering.

Enjoy your boat ride to Samar. Just be careful of the rough seas around the Camote Islands!
