My laptop cannot connect to the Internet.. So I am using the base computer for the internet.. I cannot post any pictures of the Jeepneys and the tricycles. I will be sure to post the pictures as soon as possible, once my laptop can connect.
Today was the first day of class. It was basically an introduction to YWAM and we got a little taste of evangelism. My schedule is pretty busy considering the fact that I have to hand wash my clothes and I have work duties, I mop the floors and sweep after lunch. Everyone here except for me speaks either Cebuano or Tagalog. I am the only person that speaks fluent English and its a challenge for me and im going to have to get used to it. Im starting to make friends with the fellow DTS students and we bond when we play basketball.
Im really realizing how blessed I am at home.
I love you all and when I can connect my laptop I will post more

chris,
I can't believe that there is no one that can speak fluent english there. I am sure God will really stretch you and as you said show you how blessed you are to have what you have in America

You are blessed everywhere.
Are you showing them what's up with basketball?
Don't let them call those sissy-boy fouls.
Be love and feel it.
hahahahaha. i thought a jeepney was the actual name of the car. har har. im glad to hear that you're doing better. miss you lots
chris I will be praying for you as much as I can. a few people here came to this base with the same problem you having. luckily they were coming for our english language school and they know some now.... They have amazing testimony''s though because of it (actually more amazing than most) so hang in there and talk to God when you cannot talk to anyone else and he will respond I promise you. Jeez I am glad you at least have basketball that is fun for you. Just trust God ALL THE TIME and he has brought you there for a reason and if you can stick it out for the whole trip you will figure out what exactly it is and your life will be changed for the better. Remember God is blessing you because of you choice to serve him. love you

Chris,
I am so proud of you!! You are doing a great thing and stepping WAAAY out of your comfort zone! Try and stay positive (even with the language barrier) and be open to what God really wants you to learn. Use this time to work on the things in YOUR life that need changed and that will make you more able to serve him! We all miss you!
